Flowermound Texas Restaurants
Chef / owner Gary DiDominick moved to Texas to work as a professional chef before finally realizing his dream of returning and opening his own restaurant. Chef Gary brought all the flavours and techniques he learned from there to the Dido's menu, as well as his many years of experience working with professional chefs.
Lakeside boasts many outdoor restaurants, some of which are sheltered from the cool temperatures of autumn and winter. Guests can find themselves in bars indoors and outdoors and enjoy the street life on Lakeside.
Try strolling along the sidewalks of Lakeside, where you can absorb the smells and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city's many restaurants, bars and shops. Between the shops and bags of the park you will find a wide range of restaurants and bars to visit on a date night.
The courtyard of the Craft Pie and Pizza Co. offers guests an outdoor setting to enjoy the music emanating from the 1845 plaza. The courtyard of the Mio Nonno Trattoria offers improved views of the square, enhanced by a terrace bar, outdoor seating, and an outdoor bar and barbecue. Joe's Bar & Grill, a popular restaurant and bar in the heart of Lakeside, does not offer special outdoor seating, but can take you for a walk and improve views from the terrace.
We start with the incredibly popular Chicken Waffle Sliders, served with bourbon maple sauce. The sliders have a smoky maple flavor to the sauce, which is paired with a creamy, sweet and spicy sauce and a hint of spicy mustard. I also appreciated talking to chef Gary and Ernie about the care they take to prepare each dish. It has a creamy and rich consistency and then hits a little kick and spicy at the end.
